"This wine has been an exciting journey. From my first tastings of White Bordeaux many years ago, this wine represents the artful blending of two of my favorite white varieties - Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon" - Jennifer Higgins
If you've been lucky enough to visit, you have undoubtedly noticed the large, concrete, "egg" in our Barrel Room. Acquired specifically to craft Cuvée Blanc, our white Bordeaux Blend, this is its debut vintage from the egg - and wow, what a wine!
The unique shape of the egg fermenter causes a gentle, constant stirring, keeping the lees in suspension as the juice becomes wine. The result? Extra minerality, deep complexity, and abundant fresh-fruit flavor- exactly what Jen and her team hoped for! The nose features crushed seashells, toasted brioche, and caramelized orange peel. It's zingy up front, creamy on the finish with notes of key lime pie. We are so excited to share this new vintage of Cuvée Blanc and hope you agree - it's a serious homerun!
