Tasting Notes

Harvested from vines growing on our estate in the Dry Creek Valley, Petite Sirah is a grape that packs an intense punch of flavor and character - an iron fist wrapped in a velvet glove. Beautiful aromatics of blackberry pie, Red raspberry and boysenberry jam immediately envelope the senses along with notes of dried flowers and black pepper. This wine, perhaps more than any other we produce, offers an umami character not often found. Earthy, forest floor nuances mixed with mountain blueberry fruit create a luscious, velvety experience on the palate. This wine is just plain fun and delicious to drink with almost any grilled fare - a true crowd pleaser!
